The myth of Arachnè tells of a young woman skilled a weaver that even the gods knew her name.
The goodness Athena challenged Arachnè to a contest. Against her will, Arachnè set about weaving a beautiful textile.
Her work was deemed superior, in beauty, and quality. Madly jealous, Athena took about destroying the work of Arachnè and Arachnè hung herself sadly.
In remorse, Athena brought Arcachnè back in the form of a spider.
Founded by ESMOD, famous Parisian fashion school, graduates Kayoung KIM and Jin BAE, Arachnè celebrates the passion, daring, and talent of her namesake, an eternal being.
